COVID-19 TESTING SERVICES
There are several COVID-19 testing sites for ÃÈÃÃÊÓƵ employees and students. Below is a list of testing services available free of charge within the College’s service area.
CALHOUN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
COVID-19 testing is available at the Calhoun County Health Department on Mondays and Wednesdays. The drive-through testing is from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
An appointment is required. Call 256-237-7523 and select option 6. Callers will receive instructions explaining the testing process and some of the preliminary paperwork will be completed over the phone.
A doctor’s referral is not required to be tested but patients must be symptomatic to be tested. The testing is free.
The Calhoun County Health Department is located at 3400 McClellan Blvd, Anniston.
ETOWAH COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
COVID-19 testing is available by appointment only from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Etowah County Health Department. The drive-through testing is available to those meeting the following requirements:
The person is a resident of a long-term care facility and the facility has laboratory-conformed cases in residents in staff or
Healthcare facility workers, workers in congregate living settings and first responders with symptoms or
Residents in long-term care facilities or other congregate living settings with symptoms or
Persons without symptoms who have underlying medical conditions or disability placing them at a higher risk of complications, residency in a congregate housing setting such as a homeless shelter or screening of other asymptomatic individuals based on a case-by-case review and approved by the health department
Those not meeting the testing criteria above or have mild symptoms, it is recommended that you self-isolate at home and call 1-888-264-2256 if symptoms worsen.
The Etowah County Health Department is located at 709 East Broad St., Gadsden.
CHEROKEE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
The Cherokee County Health Department is providing drive-through testing for those showing signs of the coronavirus from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesdays. An appointment is required but a referral is not. Call 256-927-3132. There is no cost for the testing.
The Cherokee County Health Department is located at 833 Cedar Bluff Road, Centre.
