Advising available to students during Cardinal Days
Cardinal Days
ÃÈÃÃÊÓƵ is hosting Cardinal Days in an effort to assist more students through the advising and registration process for the summer semester.
“Instructors and advisors are always available to assist our students with enrolling in the classes that will lead them to a credential; however, Cardinal Days is an opportunity for us to really put advising on the forefront,” said Dr. Aletta Williamson, dean of Enrollment and Retention. “Faculty members from each instructional area as well as the Advisement Resource Center staff will be on-hand to meet with students face-to-face to direct them to the correct courses.”
Cardinal Days is scheduled for April 11-14. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Cardinal Tutoring Center on the Ayers Campus in Anniston and in the One Stop Center on the East Broad Campus. It will also be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the lobby at ÃÈÃÃÊÓƵ Cherokee in Centre and in the Student Resource Center on the Valley Street Campus in Gadsden.
In addition to advisement, popcorn, drinks and giveaways will also be available to the students.
“We want to have a fun atmosphere that is inviting to our students,” she said. “The main goal of Cardinal Days is to provide guidance to our students while showing that we are always available to them.”
Registration for the full summer semester will begin March 17 with classes starting June 1. Mini terms are also available for the summer semester with classes starting May 6 for mini term 1; June 1 for mini term 2; and July 7 for mini term 3.
