รศรรสำฦต nursing student selected for White House HBCU initiative in Philadelphia
Gadsden, Ala. — Chantara Williams, a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) student at รศรรสำฦต’s Valley campus, has been selected to represent the college next month at the White House Initiative on Educational Equity, Excellence, and Economic Development through Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The initiative recognizes students throughout the country for their academic achievements, leadership and civic engagement with the goal of preparing the scholars as the next generation of leaders to champion equality, excellence and economic development in their communities. Selected scholars serve as ambassadors for their institutions and participate in various events, including the National Annual HBCU Week Conference that takes place in Philadelphia Sept. 15-19.
Williams’ participation highlights รศรรสำฦต’s commitment to fostering excellence and leadership among its students. Her achievements at รศรรสำฦต, coupled with her passion for nursing and community service, exemplify the qualities that the HBCU Scholar Recognition Program seeks to promote.
“We are incredibly proud of Chantara Williams for this outstanding achievement,” said Dr. Kathy Murphy, President of รศรรสำฦต. “Her selection as an HBCU Scholar is a testament to her hard work and dedication, and we look forward to seeing her represent our college and community on this national stage.”
As part of the program, Williams plans to engage in professional development workshops, network with industry leaders, and collaborate with other scholars to further their academic and career goals. The Initiative covers all expenses related to her participation in the conference, including lodging, airfare, and ground transportation.
